Product Specialist, System and Software

CMR have an exciting new opportunity for a Product Specialist System and Software. This is a pivotal role which drives the success of the CMR product portfolio for the assigned product categories. You'll support the Product Manager System, Vision, and Digital Products and the wider marketing team in developing and executing an effective marketing strategy, including identifying market opportunities, defining product concepts, and initiating the product development process.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office.

Responsibilities

The Product Specialist System and Software will support the team with the following activities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Contribute to market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyse market data to develop actionable insights for product development.
  • Product Concept Development:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate market insights into product concepts.
    • Support the creation of product roadmaps, value propositions, and positioning strategies.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the development and execution of an upstream marketing strategy that aligns with overall business goals.
    • Support the definition of target customer segments and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
  • Product Definition:
    • Along with the Product Manager, define product requirements, specifications, and features in collaboration with R&D, engineering, and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Support the entire product lifecycle management, from concept through development and launch to post-market activities.
    • Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions for product enhancements.
  • Marketing Communication:
    • Collaboration on the development of marketing collateral, including product literature, presentations, and digital content.
    • Support the development of marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales, clinical teams, regulatory affairs, R&D, Digital and other relevant departments to ensure product success.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:

  • A Degree or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Science, Marketing or Business.
  • Previous medical device/medical products and/or solutions marketing experience in an international business environment and in clinical settings.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for shaping the market changing the standard of minimally invasive surgery and driving business growth.
  • The ability to think creatively and pragmatically and convert product/customer feedback into valuable insights that can help drive the development of new marketing programs.
  • Excellent communication and persuasive skills to collaborate with local market and sales teams, influence others, and present convincing arguments to KOLs.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary.

It would also be helpful if you have:

  • Medical device/ solutions sales or clinical consulting experience is a plus.
  • Having clinical experience in the operating room with minimal access surgery or have worked in robotic-assisted surgery.
